Living in Vancouver, CA
I was born and raised in Carlisle, just south of the border between England and Scotland. After local schooling, I attended the University of York where I studied English and History, gaining a Bachelor of Arts degree. A variety of jobs working for newspapers and historical magazines left me feeling unfulfilled, and on a whim I took up a friend’s offer and moved to Marbella, Spain where I ghost wrote travel articles and short stories for a respected international agency. Like many others, I saw unbounded opportunities in the US, so after two sunny years in Marbella I migrated to New York, where I married a Canadian whom I’d met on an assignment in Bellagio, Italy. That was in 2001, and frankly 9/11 scared me, so we retreated to a less-targeted country and city and now live in Vancouver, BC. Warren and I have a daughter and son, born as twins in 2005. I’m hoping to do more writing as the twins grow and spend more daylight hours at school, leaving me with more time of my own. I look forward to entertaining you with a variety of offerings in the years ahead.
