Gloria Campbell has 38 years of experience as a technical writer, editor,
and instructor. She has researched, written, and edited training materials,
scientific and technical reports and articles, procedure manuals, catalogs,
annual reports, proposals, fact sheets, brochures, textbooks, employee
handbooks, and several fiction and non-fiction books. In addition to
teaching at BCC, she co-developed the Technical Communication programs
and was program director until August 2003 when she officially retired.
She is also co-founder and director of the Publishing Institute which offers
a variety of classes for writers and editors. She has a B.A. and an M.A. in
English from the University of Washington.
Favorite Books
Almost anything that is well written. I enjoy both fiction and non-fiction and really moving poetry.
Interests
Writing, observing people, reading, music (I play the piano fairly well), learning new things.
Activities
Taking classes in all kinds of subjects. Teaching classes and workshops at Bellevue College, NSC, and elsewhere. I'm currently editing several books and counseling several writers.
