Introducing BookieJar's Yummy Read Program

BookieJar is proud to announce the Yummy Read, a weekly book recommendation, hand-selected by BookieJar’s content team.

Following is Gloria Campbell, our "Yummy Read" program content advisor's advice on who should enter and how our selection will be done. Gloria has 38 years of editing experience and currently is the director of Bellevue College’s Publishing Institute. A Yummy Read is like having a jar of delicious cookies. Everything is so good, you can’t stop reading until you reach the end. A story that grabs readers, keeps their attention, makes them not want to put the book down, eager for more—that’s a Yummy Read. Each Yummy Read will be prominently featured on BookieJar’s homepage and mobile application. A new chapter will be shared with readers each day of the week. For authors this is a great opportunity to get their title to stand out in the crowded publishing marketplace. If you’d like to submit your work, please contact publishing@bookiejar.com.

• Only books published on BookieJar can be featured. Both independent authors and publishers are welcome to enter.

• Genres we particularly like are: Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Romance, YA. But we are happy to consider any title that is exciting and well-written.

• The most important element for any title is that it includes--at least--seven free chapters so that it may be read, chapter-by-chapter, through the course of a week.
  We prefer long stories, especially books in series and sequels because "Yummy Read" is based on our unique ongoing publishing model. We'd like to encourage readers to be involved from the very beginning of your stories, to be your cheerleaders, to be your loyal friends!

• Nope. In fact, you’ll even get paid when individuals purchase additional chapters of your book. See here for details.

• Becoming a Yummy Read on BookieJar will give your title prominent placement on the homepage of the BookieJar site and its mobile application and will potentially present your work to millions of readers. Moreover, BookieJar will actively promote your title along with its Yummy Read program.

• No problem. You can still promote and sell your title through BookieJar and the additional distribution channels that we work with.

So how do I enter my book to be part of Yummy Read?
That's easy! Simply upload your title onto BookieJar's platform here, make at least seven chapters available for free, and send an email publishing@bookiejar.com with the following information:

• Title
• Genre
• Synopsis
• Title’s first page
• Book length (in words)
• Awards for title
• Is there a sequel
