A man of no ambition, Collin had enjoyed his dead-end job, but now, after years of shirking responsibility, he may be Earth's only hope. He must muster all his courage, strength and wits in order to save the endangered human race. Of course, the biggest question may be, can we be saved from ourselves?

It is getting into my shelf! The first Chapter is not too "Sci-Fi" but it is so funny. Colin's thoughts and things he says are hilarious. I laughed a lot when Colin wanted to apply for a job to keep robots lubricated after his previous job was taken by robots, and threatened the alien that he would take over the ship when he finally realized he was abducted. :)

Read the whole thing! Here's my "critic's" review: An entertaining cocktail of wit, adventure, and a strong shot of satire. The characters are as familiar as aged college roomates trapped in a spaceship of singlehood, while trying to survive a roadtrip constantly interrupted by planet-side pitstops and multitudes of intellectually and/or staturely superior space weirdos. Story comes alive through the idiosyncracies and interactions between the 4 main characters, all of varying physical predispositions (the conscious robot gets my favorite vote!) Writer is talented in dressing not only his characters but the tone of his world with an endearing and unfolding personality. Loads full of pop culture treasures and social commentary without all the seriousness. While its clever premise behind the title could have been more expounded upon and the dilemma shaken and not just stirred, this fast-paced saga made for a scrumptious read on the treadmill. Overall, thoroughly enjoyable (and of course funny) with many OMG (or rather "Good Thrax!") moments. Definitely worth taking a break from the rat race for this super fun read!!
