I enjoyed this book very much, though enjoy's perhaps not the right word - the subject matter of meltdown in the UK mental healthcare system being so serious, and portrayed here in an unflinching manner that I hope is far from the truth and grossly exaggerated, but fear it might not be.  The story grabbed me from the opening paragraphs and had me reading it through in a couple of straight sittings. I thought there was something compellingly dark about the humour, the satire - reminiscent of Tom Sharp's Wilt books - had a mix of anger, despair and madness about it. Not really a comedy, there are some serious messages here and sobering insightful observations on the nature of life that drew me up and made me think. This really is a five star effort and well worth the read.

Hi Michael, Thanks very much indeed for your kind comments. It's certainly a book which divides its readership (!), but your interpretstion is exactly what I was aiming for. There is a short and fairly surreal follow up to this story ('Falling Through the Windows of Madness')which you could access free on my blog - www.leovineknight.wordpress.com. - as well as some other satirical tales. Thanks again, Leo
